Designed by Hakan Gürsu, Triton is a floating system unit that can be rapidly placed into marina entries, ports, and sea shores according to the permanent or temporary need and guidance restrictions. The system works with triple reflective solar panels that collect sunlight during the day and two parallel systems that convert the alternative energy obtained by the triple wind vanes in the middle to electrical energy. When the wind blows, the moving vanes rotate, and the floodlight on top uses the produced and collected energy to serve as a warning system.
What sets Triton apart from other warning systems is its self-reliance and sustainability. It does not require a substructure and operates solely on renewable energy sources - the sun and the wind. This makes it not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective in terms of operation and maintenance.
Another unique feature of Triton is its aesthetic and conceptual flexibility. It can be used in any pool, lake, or sea for simple decorative purposes, making it suitable for both personal and public domains. The design is not only functional but also visually appealing, with the name Triton - meaning The Little Sea God - chosen to emphasize the visual triplets of the form.
Triton's innovative design and sustainable approach have not gone unnoticed. It was awarded the Golden A' Social Design Award in 2012, a prestigious accolade granted to outstanding creations that advance art, science, design, and technology. This award is a testament to Triton's potential to significantly impact the world with its desirable characteristics.
In conclusion, Triton is a testament to the power of sustainable design. It is a clean-energy using safety component that can be used in any country surrounded by sea and in the international market. It fulfills the expectation of warning and guidance capabilities, carcass inspection, and a variety of military usage. With its low operating and maintenance costs and easy production with existing technologies, Triton is set to revolutionize the way we approach safety and warning systems on the sea.
